"A wonderful and most comfortable place"

About Fairy Glen / Sample Menus / Hotel Tariffs

Proprietors Brian and Enid Youé were regular guests at the hotel themselves prior to 1997, when, on February 14th, Valentines Day, they became the proud owners. Now they offer a warm friendly welcome to all their guests, both young and old, new first time visitors, and long standing regulars.
The hotel offers comfortable accommodation and first class home cooked food, in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Ideal for those "Get away from it all" holidays and short breaks.

All rooms are well equipped with central heating, colour television, alarm clock, hair dryer and beverage tray. All rooms are either en-suite or with private facilities. In the evening relax in the television lounge or the cosy residents only licensed bar. The hotel has its own private car park for guests use only.

Built in the 17th Century, the hotel is quietly situated within the Snowdonia National Park, overlooking the Beaver Pool on the river Conwy and approx. one mile from the village of Betws-y-Coed.

The hotel is a short walk from the Fairy Glen, a secluded and enchanting gorge on the river Conwy. A favourite with artists and photographers alike. Snowdonia and North Wales is a land of beauty and contrasts where mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes and coast combine with history, legend and folklore.
All are within easy reach of the hotel.

"Lovely setting, Friendly Welcome, Nice Rest"

Stroll into the village of Betws-y-Coed and browse the local shops or relax by the river. Betws-y-Coed (Prayer house in the woods) is surrounded by the Gwydir forest and nestles in the valley where three rivers meet. The Lledr and Llugwy being tributaries of the river Conwy.
The Lledr joins near the Fairy Glen whilst the Llugwy meets the Conwy near the village golf course after first cascading through the Swallow Falls.

"If you can better it, we don't know how"

All of Snowdonia's attractions are close by, whether your interests include history, castles, legend, rambling, mountaineering, rivers, lakes, forest walks, breathtaking scenery and golden beaches. Try a walk to the summit of Mount Snowdon or if you prefer jump on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and do it the easy way.
If you prefer some local walks, the Gwydir Forest with its lovely lakes are a must. We keep local maps available should our guests wish to borrow them.
